What is the Hereditary Cancer Test Plus?

The Hereditary Cancer Test Plus is a comprehensive NGS test that analyzes 137 genes linked to genetic predisposition to cancer, along with digital MLPA for 28 clinically relevant genes. It includes all genes recommended by ACMG guidelines and is performed using a peripheral blood sample.

Genes Covered/No of Genes: 137 Genes

Indications for Testing

  • A personal or family history of cancer, particularly at a young age
  • Multiple primary cancers or rare cancers in the family
  • Known familial genetic mutations associated with cancer
  • Relatives with cancers typically linked to inherited syndromes (e.g., breast, ovarian, colon, endometrial, pancreatic)

Why is This Test Important?

Combining NGS with digital MLPA ensures accurate detection of both sequence variants and copy number changes, enhancing the test’s ability to identify hereditary cancer risks missed by sequencing alone.
